ChildLine
ChildLine Rocks was established as a fundraising initiative by the legendary "Whispering" Bob Harris, nearly three years ago to raise money for ChildLine, a service of the NSPCC.
ChildLine is the UK’s free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people, and receives thousands of calls and online contacts from children in distress every day. With current funds ChildLIne can only answer two thirds of the 2.3 million calls it receives from children each year
The ChildLine Rocks initiative, through its series of events each year, aims to raise a six figure sum for ChildLine annually and can list the following supporters from the music industry: Classic Rock magazine and Planet Rock Radio. Yamaha has teamed up with ChildLine and the ChildLine Rocks initiative to raise funds for the helpline for children and young people through Yamaha's ninety plus music schools up and down the UK, which schools over 10,000 music students per week.
